Position Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst will provide high-level business management support to the Armed Services Blood Program Division (ASBP). This role requires the ability to analyze complex data, interpret business processes, and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making for both military and civilian stakeholders within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate closely with leadership, program managers, and cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and ensure effective business management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, workflows, and data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain business process models, metrics, and performance dashboards using business intelligence tools and process modeling software.
• Translate complex data and findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Collaborate with DoD military and civilian customers to understand requirements and provide solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support financial planning, resource allocation, and operational strategy through informed business insights.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and facilitating communication across teams.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any general business field.
• If the candidate does not hold a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
• Experience working with DoD military and/or civilian customers.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and identify patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey findings to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, business intelligence platforms, and process modeling software.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
• Strong business acumen, including understanding business operations, financial principles, and industry dynamics.
• Ability to build relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes:

• Prior experience in healthcare or blood program management within DoD or DHA is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvement projects.
