Program Manager (DoD)

Position Overview
The Program Manager will provide Business Management Support Services to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in support of the Armed Services Blood Program Division (ASBPD) located in Falls Church, Virginia.
The Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the Government and is responsible for organizing, directing, managing, and reviewing technical and operational deliverables supporting complex and interrelated program tasks. This position requires direct engagement with DoD military and civilian stakeholders and senior-level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Organize, direct, manage, and review the technical aspects of deliverables involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks.
Maintain and facilitate lines of communication across the client interface, including engagement at senior levels of the client’s organization and with company partners.
Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate, coordinate, and review task plans and deliverable items.
Provide assistance to the organization in developing mission and vision statements and subsequent goal delineation.
Work with assigned personnel to provide guidance in building operational plans and specifying measurable outcomes.
Support capital outlay planning efforts and prioritize initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Ensure timely delivery of reports, briefings, and required documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure compliance with applicable DoD policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related fieldOR
If no bachelor’s degree is held, a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of program management experience supporting DoD military and/or civilian customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, manage, and review technical aspects of deliverables across complex, inter-related projects.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level Government and contractor personnel.
Proven capability to develop strategic planning documents, mission and vision statements, and measurable performance objectives.
Experience supporting operational planning and capital planning initiatives aligned with strategic priorities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
